How this presidential-watch version was populated
The current app version focuses on a small set of nationally prominent prospective contenders. It is designed to be neutral, source-led, and easy to extend later.
What is included
- Biography snapshot and public offices held
- Ideology label and governance style summary
- Manifesto or policy-frame summary
- Issue-by-issue seeded scores from public documents
- Current nomination context for the next cycle
Neutrality rules
- The app does not endorse any candidate.
- Profiles summarize publicly documented material.
- Where party or nomination status is fluid, the app uses “prospective candidate” language.
- Issue strengths are transparent and meant for comparison, not prediction.
Current limitations
This build uses seeded summaries for three candidates and a limited policy-source library. A later version should add formal source CRUD, fact-check workflows, richer image handling, and automatic refresh for new political developments.
Planned next version
Ballot finder, source manager, image uploads, issue-specific fact-check workflow, and admin editing for every seeded section.
